Mother Mary Lange Catholic School

Construction of a new 65,000-sq. ft., three-story elementary school that will house two classes per grade level and a 520-student capacity. East Baltimore continues to be a census tract of communities that are marginalized. The new school is named in honor of Mother Mary Lange who founded St. Frances Academy in Baltimore in 1828 to educate children of color at a time when there were few opportunities for them to attend school.
